April 5, Dhaka (Tazakhobor.Com): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expect to solve the power crisis by 2015. On the concluding day of winter session of parliament Prime minister was addressing the JS. She asked people to have "patience" on Monday on this concluding speech. The government is expecting more severe power crisis as summer approaches. She spoke on power crisis for a long time in her speech and informed Jatio Shanshad that Govt is planning to overcome the problem within five years—from 2010 to 2015. Amid a severe power crisis, heightening as summer approaches, prime minister Sheikh Hasina called on people to have "patience" on Monday, in an address on the concluding day of the winter session of parliament. She demanded that the government is taking all measures to address the chronic electricity shortage, which includes additional production of power and also promoting energy saving measures. She also claimed in her speech that the government had taken measures to produce a total of 9,276MW of electricity within the next five years, which is more than double the present power production. She also informed that Awami League administration would implement the long-stalled Rooppur nuclear power plant to boost power generation. At the end of her concluding speech she admitted that people are “suffering” for the power crisis but she didn't forget to accused the previous Govt. for that.
