Aripl 12, Dhaka (Tazakhobor.com): Local correspondent reported at least 15 women were harassed in Dhaka University Bengali New Years Day Concert  organized by Muktaban Shahitya Shangskritik Sangsad.

Abdur Rahman Jibon, President of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Jasimuddin Hall unit and also the president of Muktaban Shahitya Shangskritik Sangsad confirmed the incidence happened in their concert. Due to the women assault they stopped the programme one hour earlier the scheduled time at 9:00 PM.

ADC Nurul Islam of Ramna zone told reporters that the police helped the women get away after complaints of physical assault but they didn’t able to arrest anyone from the spot as no one filed any official complaint about the harassment.

This is the 2nd time of this year that women and young girls are being assaulted in Dhaka University program. Earlier this year on 21st February Chhatra League activists harassed some young girls and beat up her parents when they protested.
