Ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will address this division level meeting at 3pm this afternoon. Among others local leaders, party central leaders led by the Standing Committee members are expected to join the meeting. Local divisional leaders lead by Party’s Standing Committee member Tariqul Islam is palying a key role to organize the rally.
Her motorcade left her Shaheed Mainul Road residence inside the Dhaka Cantonment at around 8am.
Khaleda Zia may give a directional speech from the rally, according to insiders. However, they said the next course of action will be announced from Dhaka rally scheduled for May 19. The public rally, apparently to be another showdown of the opposition after Chittagong. Organisers expect that four to five lakh people will gather at the meeting venue.
Tariqul Islam informed press that, all preparations have been completed to hold the grand rally peacefully and successfully where leaders and activists of BNP and all its front organizations of ten districts of Khulna division will join to express solidarity with the programme for movement against the government's misrule.
