Apr 23 India (Tazakhobor.com): Ekushe TV channel's chief Abdus Salam has been arrested for carrying a pistol and seven live cartridges at the Mumbai International Airport.

Abdus Salam Mohammed Kareem (50), Chairman of Ekushey Television (ETV) was arrested at the airport when security men conducted a routine check and found one '.22 pistol' and seven live cartridges in his possession Today. He was scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Dhaka.

Abdus Salam had a flight early in the morning to Bangladesh. When he was passing the security check they found those lethal arms in his bag and he was then handed over to Airport Police Station.

Inspector B N Tambe at Sahar airport police station said, “He had a flight early in the morning to Bangladesh. The CISF during frisking recovered the cartridges and subsequently he was handed over to us.”
