July 17, Dhaka, Bangladesh (Tazakhobor.com): Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina on Friday declared to form a parliamentary committee in two to four days to amend the constitution of the country.

Also Awami League Government is planning to revive the ’72 constitution, so that the government will be able to ban all Islamist party.
At a meeting of the Awami League Central Working Committee the prime minister said, “The committee will decide the total process of changing the constitution and the amendment process will start during the current (parliament) session.”
Emphasizing the importance of the amendment, she said, "The amendment is essential as the military dictators distorted the constitution after 1975".
Earlier of the day, another Awami League lawmaker Suranjit Sengupta says, Government is on the process of reverting to the original constitution of 1972. He also revealed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday urged for speedy formation of a constitutional commission to revert to the original charter of the nation. At  a seminar titled 'War criminal trials and banning Jamaat's politics' organised by Bangabandhu Academy he also said, “The less the ministers of the current government will speak, the more will the government be able to fulfill its electoral pledges. Even the war criminal trials will be eased.”
