Dhaka, Bangladesh (Tazakhobor.Com): The prosecution has submitted formal charges against Prof. Ghulam Azam, former ameer of the Jamaat-e-Islami, before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).

After the submission, the prosecution seek an arrest warrant against him for further investigation into the allegations.
The investigation agency had started its probe against Azam on August 1, 2010, and prepared its report after conducting a thorough probe for more than a year.
Prosecutor on condition of anonymity told that they are expecting to arrest Ghulam Azam on 15th December.

Chief prosecutor Ghulam Arieff Tipoo submitted a 52-point charter of charges to the three-judge tribunal headed by Justice Nizamul Huq.
The tribunal accepted the charges and forwarded the submission to the court's registrar.
The chief coordinator of the tribunal's investigation unit Abdul Hannan Khan said that they have recommended his arrest in the report. ""There are 40 witnesses in the 360-page report on Ghulam Azam and over 400 documents."
