An investigation team of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) quizzed prime minister's health adviser Dr Syed Modasser Ali in connection with the Hall-Mark loan scam.
However, ACC Chairman Ghulam Rahman neither disclosed any findings nor the date and place of the interrogation.
Speaking to journalists at the ACC head office in the capital, he said Modasser would be interrogated further if a case is filed against him. Asked why Modasser was quizzed outside ACC office in city's Shegunbagicha, He informed press that the ACC quizzes the respected people of society and top officials of the government under special arrangements so that they feel comfortable during the questioning.
Reply to a question, he said the ACC does not give any special facility to anyone while facing interrogation. “Our aim is to extract the truth. So, the Commission quizzes people where the ACC deems it necessary.”
Mr. Ghulam Rahman also informed press that the enquiry into the Hall Mark loan scam is nearly complete and he may submit the enquiry report to the commission and it will decide whether to file case or not based on the report.
