The 2012 SSC Result will be published following a video conference between the prime minister and three Barisal schools.

According to the education ministry circular, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid will hand over results of the secondary school and equivalent exams to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at 10am. Hasina will subsequently hold a video conference with heads of Barisal Zilla School, Barisal Government Girls' High School and Barisal Technical School and College. The conference will be followed by press meet at the education ministry around 1pm.
The examinees will be able to check their results on the internet or through SMS text service from 2:30pm.
An estimated 1,420,057 students of 26,855 schools under 10 education boards including Dakhil and a vocational board, sat for the secondary exams beginning on Feb 1.
This is the first time that girls outnumber boys in general board exams with girls accounting for just over half of the 1,052,969 examinees at 50.60 percent.
This year's instalment also had creative questions in all the papers except Bengali grammar, both the English papers, and mathematics.
The exams also had 274 candidates take the exams from mostly centres set up in the Middle East under Dhaka Board.
