Muslims across the country will observe tonight the holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailatul Qadr, the night when the first verses of the holy Quran were revealed to the Greatest Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
This night under the Islamic calendar follows the 26th day of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. It is considered to be the most blessed night. The Holy Quran was revealed on this night to show mankind the path of worldly and eternal emancipation.
The night is better than 1,000 nights as the angels and the spirit descend therein, by the permission of Almighty Allah with all decrees, according to the Holy Quran.The Almighty Creator in His Infinite Mercy showers His Forgiveness on those who express their penitence for wrong-doers in their earthly life and blesses those who seek His Guidance, on this night. This is the night for seeking the Almighty Creator's Guidance. The Bountiful Creator in His Infinite Might and Mercy responds to the call to save mankind from the evil and to give them the strength to move in the right direction, as ordained by Him.
