Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Khaleda Zia on Monday have exchanged Eid greetings cards though both of them are currently abroad. On behalf of the Prime Minster, her protocol officer Sheikh Aktar Hossain handed over an Eid-Ul-Fitr card to the Opposition Leaders personal secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed at the latters parliament office at noon. Reciprocating the gesture, Saleh Ahmed, on behalf of the Opposition Leader, delivered the Eid card for the premier to her personal secretary-2 Selima Khatun at the Prime Minister’s Office, sources at the BNP chairperson’s office said.The chiefs of the two major political parties, now abroad, greet each other during the two Eids and Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bnagla New Year, though they are not in talking terms.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now in London on an official tour while BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
