Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir BNP acting secretary general is attacked by ruling party 'cadres' in Barisal City on a party Procession. The procession was  for BNP-led 18-party alliance’s countrywide demonstration programme.

Barisal City Unit of BNP arranged the procession on Monday morning in city. During this occassion ,some ruling party supporters allegedly attacked that gathering. 15 BNP leaders and activists got ingured . Fakhrul said to stop ongoing anti-government movement ,ruling party has kept on making attacks and filing ‘false cases’
against opposition activists.As part of the government’s repressive acts to subdue the opposition campaign, the ruling party cadres attacked the peaceful procession of the opposition without any provocation..He also demanded the government arrest the attackers and mete out exemplary punishment to them.
